| PM Nawaz meets COAS to review NAP and Operation Zarb-e-Azab |
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday to discuss amongst other issues, the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP).
The two also reviewed the progress of Operation Zarb-e-Azab and its outcome on the security situation in the country.
The military operation is a major offensive against the Taliban and other militants in the tribal area of North Waziristan which was stepped up after the APS attack in December 2014.
During the meeting, the settlement of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from war-ravaged North Waziristan was also discussed in detail.
