Sixty people including 3 rangers were killed and 80 received injured at different hospitals of lahore.The DG ranger punjab Maj Gen Tahir Javeed Khan confirmed that suicide bomber had carried out the attack.Whereas DIg operation Dr Haider Ashraf said that the crime scene implied that suicide bomber was carry ou 15 kilograms of explosive and a bag.
Police said a large number of people were either on their way back or waiting for their vehicles after attending the flag -lowering ceremony when the explosion rocked the area.
There was hue and cry at the blast side.women were weeping,children were crying and some people were rushing here and there.
The final prayers of the martyred officials-inspector rizwan,Naik shabbir and lance naik sultan were offered at the punjab rangers headquarter.Punjab governer ch sarwar ,DG rangers and other officials were among the participants.
According to the details,over 30 of those dead remain unidentified.
