Men tennis in US Sampras sad over "sad decline"


INDIA:NEW DELHI: American legend Pete Sampras lamented Monday the decline of US men tennis.
He said:he did not know any one capable of breaking into the top ranks for his country.


He said: Fouteen time grand slam winner Sampras Blamed the global and nature of top level tennis.It would take time before the American men were dominant again.

Sampras said who dominated the game along with Andre Agassi before 2002.The game has become so international.Players are playing all around the world.Hopefully it is just a phase and does not last too long to return to the top.

32 year old Pete Sampras predicted the three big names of Novac Djokovic,Roger Federer and Rafael  Nadal would continue to dominate next season.


Sampras lost his opening match on Sunday to fellow  veteran Australia pat in the third leg of the IPTL in New Delhi.


He also said:he recovered from his jet lag after flying in from the US and was hopeful of winning his matches for the Indian Aces.

The team competition features a quick fire format with one set matches along by a 20 second serve clock.
